European Clinical Trials Directive

It is important to note that, although the new requirements of the Clinical Trials Directive could potentially cause problems and delays to studies conducted in the UK, the Irish Medicines Board has already been operating to similar standards for several years. As a result it already has a well organised system in place to grant permission for clinical studies with the minimum of delay.
